As someone who has always expressed an interest in personal development, I wanted to create a place where people can come and learn what I’ve learned through my journey of self-healing. My mission here is to teach others about the importance of viewing our lives as a whole. I believe that taking a more holistic approach to how we face life’s challenges will produce greater, longer lasting results.
Every part of our life is connected
Our minds, bodies, and spirits connect in ways that even we don’t fully understand. Science is only just beginning to explain the complicated inner connections between the brain and the body and our ability to create the world around us through energy. However, there are many spiritual teachers (many whom are doctors) who have been preaching these connections for decades.
You’ll find, as I have, that when it comes to working on improving an area of your life unless you put work in other areas you’ll soon become stuck. You’ll see a little bit of improvement but then hit a plateau. I want to help you to break through those moments by helping you to change your perspective on how personal development works.
Think of your areas of life like puzzle pieces that form neatly to create your life foundation. If any area is weak, it will weaken that foundation and, unless addressed in a timely manner, it will cause damage to other areas of your foundation, too.
Once you understand that viewing your life (health, career, relationships, and spirituality) as parts that must work together in tandem, the struggles you faced to see real growth will become a thing of the past. Working on your whole life at the same time will create a ripple effect of total life transformation that I think you’ll be happy with.
What you can expect from me
I am not an expert by any means nor do I claim to have my life totally together. I don’t believe anyone can say that their life is perfect (perfection is not the goal). Everyone – even teachers – have room for improvement. In the future, I have plans of becoming certified as a holistic life coach. Right now, I write from my personal experiences and share those ideas and practices I’ve read about and have used successfully in my own life.
Aside from what you see here, I’m currently in the research phase of a book I’m writing to compliment this blog that will bring you tons of expert data to prove the ideas and topics you’ll read. I’m aiming to have the book published by Hay House Publishing.
While categorizing my posts sometimes proves to be tricky since much of what I write overlaps, I believe that no matter what category I assign a post to, you’ll find value in reading it. Everything I write comes from the underlining premise that taking a holistic approach to improving your life is the key to living a life full of joy and fulfillment.
Who will benefit most from reading my work
Now that you have a better idea of my beliefs, how does that translate into helping you? While I wish I could help everyone, those who would learn the most from me would fall into one of the following three categories:
- You are on a journey of spiritual growth. You wonder why you were put on this Earth, what that mission is, and need answers to help you navigate through the challenges you currently face now that you’ve taken a bold stand despite fears to do what you’ve always dreamed of. You need regular encouragement in order to keep pushing through your trials.
- You want to take a more natural approach to healing mental issues of stress, anxiety, and depression. You know that you must get a handle on your mental well-being in order to perform at your optimal highest self. You want help monitoring your thoughts before they spiral out of control. Your interested in learning more about using meditation and yoga to quiet your mind.
- You need guidance on ways to connect to the core of who you are so that you can make better life decisions. You believe that having a deeper connection to your source (God) will provide clarity and direction for your lives.
Ways to connect and get holistic advice
Because my journey involves digging myself out of anxiety, depression, and extreme stress, I created a bi-weekly newsletter for those who are trying to do the same thing. You can learn more about that here. Subscribers will receive my “Revive Your Life Spark: Five-Week Mini E-Course” free.
If you want to stay updated with what happens here, the best place for that is to follow me on Facebook. Just be sure you subscribe to receive notifications. The algorithm over there has been wonky lately as Facebook prefers page owners to boost posts (aka spend money) in order to get my posts to show up in your newsfeed.
If you’d like to learn more about my writing journey, you can do that here.
